A 2 part event! Begin a mindfulness journey or level up your mindfulness skills through body-led techniques. Guest facilitator Sara Zalek will very gently guide us through a 2 part event Feb 24 and 25. Sara will use their career in performance art, dance, music and education to help us find mindful connections through sound and movement, contemplation and creation. Perfect for people who are curious about mindfulness, those who meditate, dancers, vocal performers and musicians and anyone who wants to connect to sources of infinite energy.
Guided sessions include:
+ Movement for all abilities and bodies: qi gong, learn Noguchi gymnastics (movement as a reaction), silent group walk outdoors
+ Mindfulness: self-acupressure, meditation, tea, writing, or drawing
+ Sensory environment: deep listening, gentle vocalizations, improvisation, receptivity within the group
Included in your 2 part retreat:
+ 2 mindful meditation sessions
+ 1 silent group walk outdoors
+ 1 creative movement session
+ 2 Meals (Saturday soup dinner and Sunday bento-style mid afternoon meal)
