Next mini retreat is up!
Jan 14, a Tuesday, come on over to Mother Lion for a cool night learning about the mycelial nature of Milwaukee.
SMALLWAUKEE: Are We Not Mushrooms? A mini retreat with Amy Horst
Amy Horst will take us into the realm of nature’s brilliance to help us plug into the context of our city with a different narrative. We hope you will join us for this fabulous evening. Start 2025 off with connection, while feeling the rest and relaxation that happens at Mother Lion.
5:30-6pm Arrive + Relax at the beautiful retreat center, a converted home that is maximal and hugely peaceful. Meet the host and other guests (introverts, it’s cool, bring a book/journal or jump in the sauna. If you need to:)
6-7pm Participate Mycelium is a fungal network, part of a larger organism. The visible part of this network is what we know as mushrooms. We are going to make our mycelium visible, and think about what it means to be part of a larger network <our city>
7-9pm Rest + Connect Spend the rest of the evening in the various comfy cozy corners of Mother Lion, sit in the misty & watery escapes (hot tub, sauna). Feel free to bring quiet activities (journal, knitting, a book) in case you prefer solitude to more people time. Wear a robe and slippers or your comfiest clothes.
Light snacks & soft drinks provided
Book here Early bird: $95 by Jan 1st; $125 Jan 2nd or later
